Same Materials -ring 2/4 and 3/4

I was lazy last week and busy on weekend and completely forgot to make my second "of same materials" -card. I got Riikkas parcel for the third card today and remembered the last which Sari sent and ended up making both cards today.

I colored this fluffy bunny with Neopiko -markers and distressed edges with Vintage Photo Distress Ink. I didn't use anything extra besides the card blank.

I almost screamed when this hopping bunny picture dropped down from an envelope. It's simply too cute! I gave it a bit of color with Distress Inks.

Next week is the last week of this Svetas ring and my turn to send materials. I don't have any idea for them yet but I've still got a few days to think.

Hard to Match

Henna needed a matching necklace to her old bracelet and I promised to try to make her one. It was harder than I thought, mainly because there was a limited supply of antique brass metal parts in local bead stores. After searching trough four stores I decided I've done enough and went with what I got and here's the result. I added a pair of matching earrings.

Once again my thing for asymmetricity is proven. I just find it extremely hard to make symmetric jewellery that would satisfy me. Usually if I end up with one I look at it for a while and add something to rock the balance a bit.

P*skarteluhaaste #82

We had a wonderful meeting in Helsinki on Saturday and I actually managed to make two cards which is very unusual for me. I tend to spend my time mingling and admiring others work and equipment.

P*askis challenge this week was to seek inspiration from the picture provided. I kinda chose the easiest way and used same colors.

This sassy lady is a digi stamp by Mo Manning. I love it! Being a big girl myself and having plush friends I sometimes miss more voluptuous characters. I colored it with Neopiko markers, stamped a few swirls with Worn Lipstick and distressed the edges with Wild Honey Distress Ink.

The other simple card I managed to get ready was for the meeting challenge "Spring". I don't know how springy my card actually is but at least it has a flower and some grass green. The lovely monster is by Paper Makeup Stamps.

P.S. At least Maiju and Niina have pictures from the meeting.

My First Crealies -dies

I decided to try Crealies -dies after seeing some nice leaves in Anelmas cards. I ordered two of them from Joanna Sheen, the leaf one and one flower die. At first I was suprised at how small they were but now that I've made a few cards with them the leaves are actually just right. Here are my first two tries:

Here I combined the leaves with Marianne design Poinsettias embossed with Sizzix-plate and some gemstone branches.

Here I used only one type of leaves with Crealies-flowers.

Memory Glass Pendant

I've been meaning to try out Rangers Memory Glass products for a while now and I finally bought some glass and frames. Result was this simple necklace with just a few beads between chain and the pendant itself. I stamped some Aladine images on G45 paper strip with black Archival Ink and Vintage Photo Distress Ink. After stamping I added rub-on F, L and Y on bottom left corner.

I think it's quite nice. I have five more frames left so I think I'll make a few more of these in near future. And it might be that I need to buy some other colored ones to make some a tad more vintagy ones.

Half Bead Frenzy

Once I take out my half beads I tend to stick them everywhere. I like them a lot more than any other bling and it shows... sometimes a bit too much. These three following cards got their share of them.

The dress (like the one seen earlier on a dress form) was drawn by my dear friend Emmi. I handcut the cross as I still haven't found a nice stamp or die for it.

P*skarteluhaaste #80

It's been a while since I took part to P*skarteluhaaste -challenge. For some reason I haven't been that active paper crafter lately. This week ninarsku had done such a fun sketch that I just had to make a card. Actually it would've been even better as a scrapbook page but I couldn't think of a suitable picture. I'm such a bad photographer.

The digi stamp is by Mo Manning and I colored it with Neopiko markers. All papers are by DCVW, tho different stacks. There's pieces from Blackcurrant and Street Lace mixed with The Colorful Life -cardstocks.

Of Same Materials

Lovely Sveta started a "of same materials" -ring. There's four of us and every week someone sends identic Easter card materials for others. Sveta started herself and her envelope contained three double sided patterned papers, two stamped Magnolia images, four flowers cut with Magnolia dies, a punch of tiny roses, two ribbons and a strip of half pearls.

I don't have the other ribbon, one patterned paper, rose leaves nor half pearls in my card. I used some Magnolia and Marianne Design dies to create flowers, buttons and lace border of given papers. Picture is painted with Distress Inks and it and all the paper parts are distressed with nailfile.

I should've sewn the centerpiece more left but it was too late for that when I realised it's lopsided.
